When you have a large web site and you have only one FrontPage Web and
you add the FrontPage search feature to your site, the FrontPage server
extensions index the whole site. So when you do a full text search it
goes through each and every file.
The best way to speed up
this process is to separate your Web site into different webs called
'Child Webs'. When you do this it creates smaller chunks, which can be
searched at a faster speed. The downfall of doing this is that
FrontPage requires specific hidden files to perform various functions.
When you create 'Child Webs' it adds to the disk space on our server,
which could result in an overage.
